Before you dive into these posts, I want to be clear about something important.
Everything shared on Beyond ABA Care comes from my own personal experience as a parent of two neurodivergent kids. I’m writing anonymously to protect my children’s privacy and to speak honestly about what we’ve lived through, years of therapy, evaluations, meetings, and tough decisions.
I have nothing against the many service providers we’ve worked with during the years. They are wonderful people who really want to help.
Nothing here should be taken as medical, therapeutic, or professional advice. I’m not a clinician. I’m a parent who has been in and out of therapy systems for a long time, trying to make sense of what helps and what doesn’t.
What I write here is based on what I’ve seen, what I’ve learned, and how I’ve felt along the way. Some families may have different experiences, and that’s okay. My hope is simply to start conversations, share reflections, and give parents a place to pause and think before getting swept up in a system that often tells us what to do without asking how it feels.
If something you read here resonates, take it as an invitation to reflect, not a prescription.
Thank you for being here and for reading with an open heart.
